Snow days! We have been getting a lot of these lately. Currently, it is snowing in VA.
There is a certain stillness and quietness about snow that forces you to slow down. Looking out my window, everything looks bright and white.
I remember when I was a little kid, my sister was memorizing Psalm 51:7
"Purify me from my sins, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow." (NLT)
She would repeat it over and over, yet I don't think it really made sense to me (maybe because of the fact that it doesn't snow in Guatemala) until now that I live somewhere where it snows. David asks God to clean him and purify his heart from all impurities. His cry for purification, and how he wants to be whiter than snow, is something that all of us should ask God for, every day. I want my heart to be whiter than snow.
Below are some pictures I took of the snow when the sun was out. I hope you enjoy.
